The monumental Helnan Marselis waterfront hotel was designed by Danish architects Friis and Molkte and completed in 1967. Featuring the clean simply lines of vintage Scandinavian design, all 101 rooms have balconies with handsome views over the water. The busy marina is just 400 meters from the hotel and guests will find several golf courses in the surrounding area. Central Aarhus with its cathedral, modern art museum and famous town hall is approximately three kilometers away. It is situated between Marselisborg forest and Aarhus beach, three kilometers outside the city center. The lobby has a fireplace and television, and wireless Internet connection is available in the hotel's public areas. Guestrooms are equipped with wireless Internet connections, direct dial telephones, minibars and cable television. Aarhus airport is 45 kilometers and a 45 minute drive from the hotel. Free onsite parking is a bonus for drivers. Guests can relax or work up a sweat in the swimming pool and sauna, top up their tans in the solarium and enjoy views of the water while they dine amidst modern Scandinavian furniture in the hotel's restaurant, which serves a varied menu of Danish and international cuisine.
